‘4.5m Mega’ Porta-Yards by Landquip NZ

 

The 4.5m Mega Porta-Yards is the largest available unit from Landquip NZ - with a maximum carrying capacity of 36 no. 7’ (2.1m) aluminium hurdles - that’s a total of 252’ of fenceline.

The 4.5m Mega yard can hold up to 750 ewes and lambs.

Please note: the 4.5m Mega Yard can only be legally towed on UK roads with a tractor.

Both units are built on the same trailer, capacity on the 550 head unit can be increased to 750 at a later date

Aluminium Yard Panels

Unit shown: 3.0m Porta-Yards

All Porta-Yards panels are 1.0m high as standard with a sheeted top section, this helps:

  • Reduce the incidence of jumping

  • ‘Blinds’ even stronger ewes leaving them looking under rather than over

  • Helps protect jumping dogs legs

  • Hinge together to allow them to ‘concertina’ as pulled in one run from the yard trailer

Made from top quality New Zealand Aluminium, extruded for strength and professionally welded.

3 Way Drafting

Built in 3-way drafting gates allow for easy sorting of sheep as they exit the system.

Spring loaded.

Reversible - switch the direction of the drafting gates to suit the direction the sheep are running.


HYDRAULIC LIFT AND LOWER

Quick and easy set-up.

The hand-pump hydraulic system allows the yard to be lifted and lowered in seconds.

To drop the yard, simply turn the tap to release the pressure.

To raise, lock the tap and pump the conveniently placed handle for around 15-20 seconds to raise the yard to transport height.

Removable Wheels and Drawbar

Drawbar removes with one pin - simple slide in/out design for quick and easy removal/install.

Wheel assemblies can be removed by undoing the clip and sliding off the axle, because of the lift/lower system - the wheels do not have to be removed to use the yard.

Rubber Floor

All Porta-Yards are now fitted with a rubber floor as standard. This aids flow of animals through the race.

Dosing Race

Solid sheeted, aluminium panels to form a double or single dosing race.
